Shot Time

Hello People: It's me Raisen again. Just stopped in to Mountainview Small Animal Hospital to see Dr. Jessup and the staff. I have to have vaccinations to keep me healthy. I have been working on my commands. I am getting better and better. I also weigh 18.2 lbs. and I am 16 weeks old. On Monday the 31st, Happy Harvest Time, I will be going to my very 1st official training class at Canine Companions for Independence. CCI for short. I go to the center in Oceanside across from the San Luis Rey Mission. I get to meet other puppies that are also in training to be service dogs. Its pretty serious business in that class. We need to pay attention and behave because we are going to be doing pretty important work in the future. Hope that all you kids have a good holiday weekend. Stay safe. Raisen

Raisen Working Late

Good Morning: Goodness, this working is sometimes extreme. I had to work late last night, helping Sarah's Mom and Dad sign loan paperwork. Sarah and I played and had a good time. Sarah's is excited because soon her family will have a beautiful new home to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas in. If you know anyone who wants to buy or sell, please call my foster parent's Jim and Gayle. They love to help people with Real Estate. Bye for now. Raisen

Raisen at Work

Hello Everybody:  Sorry that I have not sent any blogs lately, but I have been growning.  Because I am growing so fast, I have to sleep alot.  I also had to go to the Veterinarian  last week for some shots.  Just basic vaccinations, so I won't get sick. They hurt and I was sore for a couple of days.   I have learned to "sit" pretty good.  I am working on "down" and if you tempt me with a treat, I will follow it.  I come when they call "here".   I have been very good with my housebreaking.  I do NOT like to ride in a kennel in the car.   I can't see where I am going. Ok, we are off to go visit the bank in Murrieta, and our affiliate Chase Lender,  Yolanda.  See you again in a few days.  Have a good weekend everyone.

I spent Friday afternoon doing some volunteer work.  I was helping the Murrieta Lions raise money for White Cane.  That's a program that helps blind people.  We talked to lots of people.  I am trying very hard to learn to use the bathroom outside.  We go out when we first get up and then lots of time's during the day, we go outside. I think I am housebroken, but I am still young so I might have an accident.  Not many though.  I love to chase my sister Teagan.  Sometimes my Mom will throw a ball or toy, and I will bring it back.  My attention span is really short as I get sidetracked often.  I am only 3 months old, so I will get better.   My favorite time of the day is late afternoon.  I play and run and chase Teagan.  I went to church again on Sunday night and I was very good.  Lots of people loved on me and I got to play with some small kids.  We sat in the nursery room because it wasn't quite so loud.  Maybe soon, I will get to sit in the sanctuary with all the big people. See you later, I am going for a car ride.

Working Hard

Yesterday, I went to work with my Mom and Dad. We had a big office meeting at I got to meet the new CEO of Prudential. I could stay up for all of the meeting. I am being raised to be a service dog. Some of the kids asked If I am a girl or boy. I am a girl but you can't tell by my name. All my brothers and sisters, 8 of them have the same letter of the alphabet. My foster parents teach me basic commands but their big job with me, is to socialize me. That means take me everywhere so I can get used to being in very different settings. As a service dog, I will have to go everywhere with my person, so I have to get used to being in public. That's why I was at church the other night.
